A Google Business Profile, formerly Google My Business, is the free listing that puts your company on Google Maps and in the local results, complete with your hours, phone number, reviews, photos, services, and a button to call or get directions. For most home-services businesses it is the single biggest source of calls from Google, because it is what shows up in the map pack at the top of local searches. Claiming and fully optimizing it, with the right category, real photos, and a steady stream of reviews, is usually the highest-leverage thing a contractor can do.
