A veteran-owned landscaping company in Central Kentucky that went from almost invisible in search to ranking across five counties and pulling in leads.
ER Landscaping Solutions is a veteran-owned landscaping company working across Central Kentucky, covering Shelby, Jefferson, Franklin, Anderson and Henry counties. Good company doing good work, but almost nobody could find them online. Over a three month stretch their site pulled in 2 clicks and around 200 impressions, and the Google Business Profile was barely getting a call. The site itself didn't make it obvious what they did, where they worked, or how to get a quote, so even the people who did land on it didn't have a clear next step.
We started with a full redesign. The new site leads with the work, says plainly which counties they serve, and gives people an obvious way to call or request an estimate instead of hunting for it.
From there we built out the pages that actually win local searches. Every service got its own page, and every county they cover got its own service area page. Someone searching in Frankfort looks for something different than someone in Shelbyville, so each area gets a page written for that location instead of one generic services page trying to rank everywhere at once.
Then we went after the searches people make right before they hire, not just the broad terms everyone competes for. The veteran-owned lawn care and landscaping page is the clearest example. It targets a specific buyer who wants to support a veteran-owned business, and it brought in a real lead in the first month it was live.
For the blog we pulled the actual questions people ask Google about landscaping, the People Also Asked questions, and answered them properly. Those pages started picking up impressions and clicks inside the first week.
We worked the Google Business Profile hard too, posting regularly and rewriting the service descriptions so they're keyword rich and actually say what the business does and where it works. We built out local citations so the business name, address and phone number match everywhere Google looks, which is one of the quieter signals that helps a local business show up in the map results.
On top of regular search, the site now shows up first in ChatGPT when people ask for lawn care or landscaping in their service area, listed ahead of the other companies in town. That's where a growing share of people are starting their search now.
Over three months the numbers moved across the board. Search clicks went from 2 to 135. Search impressions went from around 200 to 6,200, roughly thirty times more. The click-through rate more than doubled, from 1% to 2.2%.
The Google Business Profile took off too. Profile views are up 496% year over year, to 918 views. Website clicks from the profile are up 312%, and calls straight from the profile are up 1,000%.
The growth in traffic wasn't just traffic. More people landed on the site, and more of them clicked through to ask for a quote or an estimate. Twenty-one quote and estimate requests came through the site's request buttons, button clicks on the calls to action are up 860%, and form submissions are up 700%. That's the only number that turns into paid jobs.
They also show up first in ChatGPT now. Ask it for lawn care or landscaping in their service area and ER Landscaping Solutions is the first business it names, ahead of the others in town.
A qualified lead came in during the first month from the veteran-owned page, with more calls and quote requests following as the new pages started ranking. The business went from invisible to showing up across all five of its counties, in regular search, in the map pack, and in ChatGPT.
